I have a Christensen ELR and am looking at putting a new stock on it. I like the Greyboe Phoenix as it will give me similar adjustability as my current stock at about 10oz lighter. Does anyone have much experience with the Greyboe stock?

Thanks

I have one on my new smokeless muzzleloader. The black friday price was right for the weight and adjustable cheek riser. Unfortunately I can't tell you how it shoots, im waiting on a scope. Feels good when you shoulder it. It does feel cheaper than my mcmillan and my ag composite stocks.

Mine has been at the smith for 4 months........JGS is taking 3 months to regrind a reamer. I really like the specs and modularity/dual purpose abilities of this particular model. It should work well. I'm tempted to get one for my tikka builds that seem to always be ongoing.

I put a Phoenix on an R700 short action. It's a great stock, and I think it's right at 2 lbs. A few things to be aware of: the barrel channel on the stock is very wide to accept pretty much every barrel contour but can look odd because it doesn't sit close to the barrel. Also, if you mount a sling, the swivel studs will be located on the side of the stock, not a big deal but know that the rifle will sit sideways while you're carrying from a sling. It has adjustability in both the recoil pad and stock which is nice. Also has a built in level.
