A couple of the guys and I will be heading out on a training hike sunday with 45# packs, anyone else interested give me a shout and I will let you know when and where.

Tim, I have to work Sunday but am interested. I have been doing a ton of running in the devils canyon area. Wife talked me into a couple half marathons this spring.

sounds good, I am wanting (in addition to the normal exercise routine) to do a couple good pack hikes each of my days off weeks. Give me a shout and we'll get something figured out.

I got a couple hikes in mind.
Garfield 2 miles, 2,000 vert
Tellerico 4 miles, 3200 vert
Sarlac 8 miles, 2600 vert
Rattlesnake arches 16 miles, 1000 vert

we will hit them all I think over the course of the winter. I think it's just Dennis and I that are going to to hit Devils canyon tomorrow since mike is working too. give me a shout and we will get something figured out. I want to try and get out on each of my weeks off from work in addition to the normal routine.

Sounds good.
Jake, looks like I may actually have most of this week off due to everything slowing down for a bit at work so let me k ow what works for your schedule and we will see if we can get something figured out.

Tim, wish I got this sooner. I went for a quick 5 mile run up Devils canyon this morning. I'm off Saturday, Monday, Wed-Sat, this week.

First hike in the books, sorry for no notice, it was a 30 min spur of the moment with Tim. Quick 4 miles up devils canyon area 1110 vert, under 2 hrs. Many more to follow hopefully with notice.

For anyone wanting to hike this morning after the snow quits we are going to meet at the Wildwood trailhead for the Ute Canyon and Liberty Cap trails at 10:00 today.

Another good one for the books, a couple of the guys and I met at the Wildwood trailhead and hiked Liberty cap and back this morning.

We will be meeting next sunday at the Rapid creek trailhead on the east side of Palisade next Sunday at 0900, 45 lb packs.

you are a bit too far for me to make a training hike with you guys, but would dig meeting you all someday. you should start including some pics in this thread. Roksliders across the country would be amazed with the country you guys train in.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it, feel free to give a shout whenever you are down this way as there are several of us that are down here. I will definitely try and post up some pics of our hikes or training sessions.
