Grab It question

Do I need to order the strap kit (listed at checkout) for a first time grab it purchase?

No you don't need it. But it's nice to have for big loads.

the grab it is pretty handy but the lash kit is even more so. if i had to choose id take the horizontal lash kit. but i have and carry both. makes for a pretty versitle set up

The Grab-it in conjunction with lashing straps is the best for carrying larger items. I carry my ground blinds a lot. The grab-it secures the bottom of the blind and basically supports all the weight. I then add 2 horizontal lashing straps across the blind to stabilize everything.

Just buy yourself some slotted buckle sets and some webbing and make up a bunch of straps. I have a few of various lengths.
