I am looking at getting a simple to use affortable GPS. I am not really a high high tech guy, so i am looking for something simple. I drew a limited entry elk hunt which means I may be hunting a couple days on my own. The last time I got lost was 25 years ago, and it was a bad experience.

I was looking at some of the Bushnell backtrack series.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bryan

Try the Garmin Foretrex before a backtrack...only three oz and way better imo. There are three models (201 301 and 401) .... I have the 401 and love it..used by Marine Corps too!

I recently got the Garmin eTrex 20. I'm very happy with it. It is small and light; the batteries last a long time, and you can upload maps, record tracks, zoom in and out, etc.
