Golden for sure. A couple summers ago here in the Northwest corner of NJ I had one on the lake I live on. Saw it a couple times in a month or so and haven't seen it since. A rare and cool sight but they pass through every once in a while

As many have said, it is a golden. And it is a full adult. Cool to see in NY!

I drove up on a Golden standing on top of a mature mule deer doe carcass.
It looked nearly as big as the deer.
They're amazing birds.

Sweet photos. I got some of a pair of goldens eating the carcass of my deer this year. They are massive birds.

A older lady who's grandpa owned most of the land here told me about how he saw a golden take down a spike buck right where I was 50 years ago. Never knew why the spring was called Eagle Spring until that story.

Don't see many here in NY but saw plenty this fall in MT, including this one who appears to have been killed by a vehicle in the course of dining on the roadkilled raccoon. They are impressive, especially up close.

I believe it is a younger golden. Adults have a golden underling. And more golden around the head. Absolutely beautiful birds aren't they
