Can't wait. Tomorrow I am going "Off the Grid" into a very remote, high country drainage in Southern Colorado. Going with two of my best buddies--ultra light, hard core, DIY, in a public land, OTC Unit. Last year we scored on a nice 300" 6x6. Hoping for a repeat or even an upgrade this time! Got elk, bear, and deer tags.

I've trained, cut weight, worked out, and gotten the lightest and fittest I've been in almost 20 years. Feeling a bit anxious, but ready for the Backcountry Adventure to begin!

Good luck, I am at 11500 in central, co right now and nothing is making a peep except the cattle. Sign all over but no bulges.

Just got home from 10000 and last night they really got going good, had a herd bull and 6 cows at 25-60 yards just before dark and they wouldn't cross the fence over to to the public ground. What an experience though, I can still feel his bugles in my chest.

Had minimal bugling in 74 last week btwn 9700-11000ft. Only one shot opp on a bull that was moving uphill at 40 yds. I hope you have more luck with them bugling. It's awesome when they talk back.

I'm in 74 as well, hunting between 8500 and 9200' last week for muzzy elk. They were screaming their heads off, and I couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a herd of elk. I'd get busted by one group when I was making a move on another. Not complaining about that though!
