“GOAT knife disappointment

I purchased the GOAT Capra TI knife this summer. I received it on July 9th and was impressed by the design, and the fit
and feel.
It sat in storage until August 14 when I threw it in my Bino harness to carry around for the Utah Archery Hunt. Which is where I’ve always carried my knives, in the back of the Marsupial Harness.

After 5 days. 5. The rubber bands holding the 1/4” hex bits had sun rotted and cracked in the sun.

My bad for letting them see sun? Sure, maybe....

But really I would’ve expected better than 5 days.

This really doesn’t give the knife the incredible advantage it had anymore.

3/5 stars.

What you experienced is the reason I didn't buy that knife and went with a Tyto. When I used to bow hunt I remember the rubber bands on the rage broad heads used to do the same. I knew eventually the rubber on the knife would rot.

All I know is my outdoor edge has been used a lot over the past 3-4 years and nothing on it has failed me yet.
