Garmin Tactix 7 vs Garmin Tactix 8

I’m curious if anyone has owned both the Tactix 7 and 8 and whether there are any legitimate benefits of the 8 beyond some additional ‘exercise’ categories (i.e. rucking).

The cost between getting a used 7 ($500) or a new 8 ($1400) is significant, so wondering if it’s worth it.

Go look at Prepared Airman’s videos (YouTube). He covers the pros and cons of both.

I have the 7 with AB and don’t see a real reason to jump to the 8. The gen5 sensor is nice, but not enough of a reason to upgrade. Personally, future proof yourself and get the 8.
