Garmin Northwest topo mini sd card

I am wondering if its honestly worth the investment or not. My Garmin seems to do fine for mapping and what not (gpsmap 60csx model) I am wondering if anyone for the northwest has used the Garmin northwest topo mini ad card in there hand held and if it's pretty accurate for trails and streams basically the nessentials that should be on the topo maps. I have the one with Colorado and it is real detailed. I also have the huntgpsmaps data as well. Between to two I can see very detailed Topo maps and property boundaries. I also have the one for Alaska. Again the Topo is very detailed. I think it is worth the money. I also carry a good Topo map with me. This helps as I make notes on the map at home and can use in the field.

I use it in Oregon and Washington on my 60csx. I have been using it for 5 or 6 years and like it. I think now you can get the data on disk and download maps and trakcks back and forth between the computer and card? I just have the card as that all that was availble whn i purchased, and no regrets. I haven't used the huntinggps maps so I can't compare. I did upload maps from gpsfiledepot.com for Idaho last year and they were fine for topo. What is really nice about the Garmin card is it also has turn by turn directions for both city and forest service type roads. You can punch in a destination say hog flat, and it will give you turn by turn road directions, something I was unable to get with the free maps from gpsfiledepot.

It does pretty good on water sources, used it to find a stream/spring to figure out where to camp last year in the minam. Its also very detailed on topo, to find benches, etc.

Of course some of the roads it shows are non-existant(might have been there 30 years ago?),but I think most are like that probably?

Huntinggpsmaps is by far the best I have seen. It has all the topo plus boundary lines hunt units and even shows fences at times.

I have been running a Garmin 60csx for about five years also. The program I have been really impressed with is made by Korey Kirschenmann from Kirsch's outdoor products. He has chips that cover most of the western states and the features available on these chips are amazing. I have used this chip in ND and MT and will be using this February in NM. The main feature I like besides the topo is the public land boundaries versus private boundaries. This is pretty important in parts of ND and often these places are not fenced but you are expected to know where you are at all times.
