Garmin Earthmate App & onXmaps

I have been trying to figure this out but have not reached a satisfying conclusion so thought I would throw this out to the knowlegable folks here. Can you use an onXmap with the Garmin Earthmate application?

I ask as I am very interested in the Garmin Inreach. As such I would sell by Garmin Oregon 650t and would use the iPhone paired with the inreach as my GPS. I like the onXmaps and would like to continue using them as they show me the BLM, National Forrest, and hunting unit boundaries. Yet I am not sure if this is even feasible.

Other option is to try and use GAIA maps with the inreach yet I am not sure if that map is as good for hunting as the onXmaps.

Thoughts and recommendations?

Not as far as I know. OnX only works within the OnX app on your phone.

I have the onX chip in my Garmin, with the earthmate map downloaded for the same area. I have both of them on most times, but Pretty simple to enable/disable one or the other layer to get a clearer view
