We all saw how the woke Bud light ad cut that company in half. That could be the worst Corporate mistake in history.....but then, hold my beer.....

What does the car company Jaguar do- Go Woke baby! Heres the 30 second ad on Youtube.

Thirty seconds of "WTF was that?" ridiculousness but these cases beg the question; How stupid are these Corp Execs? (BTW, they just fired that ad company after 6 mo)

Now I see Chipotle has decided to Expand into Mexico. Crazy?

Really. The fact that I would never buy a Jag after that....that friends with Jags are disgusted....and I will probably never drink another Bud Light accomplished "Their Job"

It's a company killer as we saw with Bud....
I don't know a single person that is still boycotting Bud, most I know went back after a few months. Nearly everyone who boycotted still gave InBev their money. Lots of noise

We're not their target audience. They're doubling down on appealing to those who are, and those they want to be.

It would be like Bud Light using Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, and Cam Hanes to star in beer commercials with guns and genuine deer hunting footage - it works with core audience, alienates non-core. But if non-core are not really winnable anyhow, so what? It strengthens core allegiance.

That has got to be one of the dumbest commercials I've ever seen. I guess its working for them though because it has us watching it and talking about it. It gives them the exposure they want.

It’s weird, they fired their marketing agency and are currently looking for a new one because this ad backfired.

It was the wrong call but in the end seems pretty insignificant. Same as this commercial. I'm sure there's some artsy folks out there that love it. The usual people that like to make a fuss will and life will go on. 1000002532.png

This. I'm not giving the commercial any views.

Challenge accepted.

Bud Light is a drink for the limp wristed anyway. Bud Light, power tools, and automatic transmission trucks pretty well encapsulate the pathetic state of American manhood.....

Match thrown, I'm out.

Sorry, I meant Jaguar fired their marketing team this week. InBev has definitely worked very hard to fix their reputation.

Friend of a friend owned a Jag. Seems like the damned thing was in the shop more than it wasn't. And I guess they are none too cheap to fix. No thanks.
I think that is actually a selling point, gives people an opportunity to prove they have more money than brains multiple times a year.

Gotcha, took 5 months then. I think that's longer than the bud crew made it. I personally saw the commercial as strange artistic nonsense more than "woke", guess it comes down to what you're looking for. Unfortunately for Jaguar they don't own half the car brands. The Bud thing should've been eye-opening for people for that reason but it wasn't. They cared just enough to buy a can with a different logo that was sold by the same people. The illusion of choice

Suprised the mods haven't power tripped this yet. Seems trannys are good to go but the pope is off limits 🤣
I imagine there is a lot of christian folk on here, here not as many trans-related. So like the "california is stupid" thread its an easy thread to preach to choir without feelings hurt. Why buy a Jag if its not an E-type, I don't know.
