Finally got to shoot tonight with my 7 yr old daughter tonight. It’s been tough with my wife that coaches high school girls soccer and two of my girls also in soccer. I do all the shuttling around, making dinner, lunches, breakfast , etc. so she can enjoy doing what she loves. This is my middle daughter and she will be 8 in December. Loved every minute of it!

Looks like you both had a great time. It really is so much fun to see them improve and grow stronger. It is like pulling teeth to get my 11 year old daughter out with her bow, but when it happens, she is out for hours shooting.
Enjoy those moments.

Nothing better than what you described. My son loves to shoot with me and his new recurve for Christmas just got delivered to my local shop yesterday. Love the time together and smiles.

Random question…..what now is she shooting? My daughter is turning 9 and I am searching for a new bow.

It’s a Stalker Weasel. Geared for kids 2-10 years old. I bought it for her for Christmas last year. Adding a Thunderhorn Boa quiver to it this year for Christmas. Just call South and he or one of his guys will help you out with it. I’m pretty sure I could have him build heavier weight limbs or swap out with heavier ones as she grows. I will be getting a Bobcat for my wife pretty soon when she gives me the go ahead for her.

Forgot to add that your daughter could probably shoot it a little longer than just 10 years old. She is probably still too young for Stalker’s Bobcat. South does offer a grow with your bow program which is pretty dang cool considering how expensive it can get with growing kids.

While my boys are older (23 and 15), they've been shooting since they were 4 or 5. It's still a blast chasing the tennis ball around the yard, stumpin, and going to 3Ds with them. Live for those days.

New bow was delivered by Santa yesterday! Only 22 degrees outside today (better than the last few days by far) so the basement range will have to do for now.

That’s great! I’ve been trying like crazy to shoot more but the dang weather is miserable. I like the basement archery range. Currently working on mine so we can shoot at night or when the weather is nasty.
