Went on a hike with the family to the Black Hills and finally got to see one in the wild. Wont be able to hunt these any time soon in SD but it was neat to see one. We were about 800 to 1000 yards away when I took this pic.

Cool Animals. I was just reading last night how they accidentally got established there.

Was up at Mt Rushmore last May and was surprised when a couple of those guys popped out on the hills around the monument.

I was by Sylvan lake taking a hike to Harney Peak at the top we could see the backside of Rushmore maybe 8-10 miles away.Did they have radio collars this one did?

yes I live in SD, I am east of you along the Missouri by Fort Randall Dam
