just found the site when i searched google for an obscure caliber, the 6.5x257 (i used to have one, and loaded for it). i'm into more odball stuff, mostly old--older'n me, even, and that's pretty old. live on the west side of mt. rainier about 24.0 miles from the crater. better climate than socal!

Thanks, guys. I'm mostly into old stuff; leverguns, single rifles, combo rifle/shotguns, that sort of thing. The hills around here have got a bit steep for this old man, and I refuse to become a 'Washington road hunter" clone, so most of my shooting now is on the range. I shoot a bit of trap, badly--or at least 5 birds worse than I did a decade or two ago. Love to chat about 25/35's, 32 win specials, 30-30's, Martini Cadets, Colt Woodsmen and Model 1851's, Savage and Chiappa combos, old drillings, etc. My scatterguns are mostly humpback Browning patent, the ones that aren't flint or caplocks. I once was a smokepole chaplain; the "Buckskin Church".
mind yer topknots!
