Hello all,
I have lurked on this forum on and off for a while, mostly on the subject of packs. I finally pulled the trigger and signed up in order to PM someone about an item in the classified ads. I figured as long as I have a profile I might as well introduce myself.
I am a member of numerous websites dedicated to outdoors/tactical/camping gear. Some of you guys might recognize my handle from BF, USN and Hammock Forums as well as a few others.
In true FNG fashion I have never hunted anything bigger than rabbit, but I fish and spend plenty of time outdoors and would really love to go hunting for white tail this coming season. My GF and I attended hunters safety courses over the summer in preparation for going out this season, but between our busy schedules and the fact that we had no idea were to go and what to do we didn't get the chance.
I am interested in learning more about hunting in general, particularly how to hunt using a bow, any info on long range/ camping hunting. I feel really comfortable out in the woods, rifle in hand, pack on my back, for days at a time, so now that my time is less hectic it is a no-brainer to take up hunting. I also want to learn a bit about conservation efforts and giving back to the sport, if I am going to do this I want to do it right and break from the stereotypes associated with hunters.
Before anyone asks, I move around a lot and have historically, but for the purposes of hunting Pennsylvania is where I would most likely get out and hunt at.
