Long timer lurker from WI. I grew up hunting deer in the Northwoods. Still love going up every year, but it is more about the comradery in our neck of the woods due to the herd size. I started hunting out West a few years ago and love it. Killing a bull elk on public land is high on my priority list but just being out those mountains is something else.
