Another Texan who sometimes wishes he resided out West - especially when its time to pony up for an out of state Elk Tag! While we are certainly proud of our heritage and hunting opportunities down here, we still envy you western hunters!

New to elk hunting-last year was my first full fledged backpacking elk hunt and I am already addicted, cant wait to get back out there. Great site with great posters and great information - I lurked for quite a while before I decided to bite the bullet but looking forward to joining the conversation.
