Been lurking awhile. Heading to Alaska this year. I've hunting elk several times but it has usually been from a base camp. Looking to branch out into the backcountry in the future so I enjoy the vast knowledge on this forum.

We are going after caribou and moose. I'm using 40 mile air and going with a resident that has been using them for 15 years. This is going to be a very long final month waiting.
