Hello and good day,

FNG here from Southeast Alaska, late into the hunting world-fished like a fool for any fish that would bite growing up but didn't hunt until I was the ripe age of 20.

Big into waterfowl, big into chasing deer and black bear, novice trapper, and I have a goal of achieving the North American big game slam.

I'm doing my best to research more long-range shooting as well as bowhunting, neither of which have I practiced in the field. I intend to utilize both in completing my big game hunting goals.

I'll be more than happy to receive tips from anyone who has successfully hunted moose, elk, mountain goat, dall sheep, muskox, wolves, anon.

I shoot a .270 Win and 7mm Rem Mag however I aim to gain more knowledge about other calibers that may be a better long term and long-range choice for hunting the animals I've yet to pursue.

Thanks for the opportunity, looking forward to connecting with you fellas.

Barrett

As the self-appointed chairman of the welcoming committee, it is my privilege to extend a laurel, and hearty handshake (virtual, of course) to our new member, Barrett.

Southeast is definitely great for waterfowl, many opportunities within 20 minutes of most front doors around here. But for harvesting the variety of game in state the number 1 priority should probably be the travel budget.
