Hello all, been hunting my entire life, retired from the Army a few years ago moved to the mtns of NC to work for the family business. Had the pleasure of being able to hunt in several US states. Never back country hunted but I am very interested and hope to be able to swing out west someday to fulfill that dream. I am also an avid fly fisherman and I used to shoot competitive archery for the US Army Wounded Warrior program. I am here to learn and absorb.
Thanks for your time,
Andrew

Andrew,

Welcome to the forum and Thank You for your service. I am just down the road from you in the upstate of SC. I am certainly not an expert but I have been out west several times hunting elk, deer and antelope and fishing. Happy to help you if I can.

My family owns a full service landscape contracting service. I operate heavy equipment now. I was a Field Artilleryman and an electronic warfare specialist so it's a bit different for me. Ya it's nice there are hundreds of trout streams close by and the Watauga river is 30ft behind my house

Hello Andrew, my name is Andrew and I am a FNG from NC as well! I live about an hour NW of Charlotte, so I am guessing we are not far from each other. Never been out west to hunt, have been out fishing and hiking a few times, but I am headed out elk hunting in September 2016 to Colorado. thank you for your service. Feel free to shoot me a message anytime.
