I have a leatherman and a small rachetting screw driver set. Probably similar performance to fix it sticks but a little more user friendly IMO. Also, I keep a couple of pin punches too but they are mainly for handguns.

I have a nice set of Fix-It Sticks (Xmas present) and a previously "assembled" range tool kit. The assembled one has everything I need (usually): hex keys, screwdrivers, punches, multi-section steel cleaning rod (been used to drive out a squib load before), oil, rag. I sometimes carry a Wheeler torque driver (if zeroing a newly-mounted scope), Loctite, etc. The Fix-It Sticks are much more elegant, compact and expensive, but you might want to add a few other things too. To me, more of a "no wrong answer" than a "only one right answer" choice.

I didn’t get too far down my search of fix it sticks, but sounded like there were probably similar options out there for other hobbies that didn’t get the gun tax. Not much help tho, sorry.

The kit you mentioned in your original post is what I own. There is also a very high dollar set available, but I can't remember the name, but they would be the best ones on the market.

Here are the two fix-it-stick packages that we offer. The size of these packages allows you to throw it in your pack and know you are covered!

Going to order the long-range all in one. That's exactly what I am looking for.

It is an awesome little package! A great idea to throw in the bottom of your pack and hopefully never have to pull it out! When you do need it though, you will sure be glad to have it!
