First range finder question

I'm looking to buy my first range finder. Would like to use it for both archery and rifle seasons. That is, I would like it to range from 10 yards to 800 yards (not reflective but actual rocks and deer) with drop compensation. Am I asking too much for one range finder? Is this a unicorn or does it exist? If the latter, any recommendations?? Thanks!

Just picked up a sig kilo 2000 for 350 at cabelas, can't beat that price.

On line they seem to be $499. I know they were $350 a while ago. Am I missing something or are they just not on sale anymore?

Are you looking at the new Sig Kilo2200? That one should be $499

Get the Sig. Either the 2000 or the 2200. They are worth the money.

The Sig is a great unit, but do you really need a rangefinder to range 10 yards? The Sig will range at less than 10 yards, but the Leica has trouble with anything that close. The only thing I don't like about the Sig is the decimal and 1/10 place. Just clutters it up more than needed. I really don't care if it's 43.7 yards versus 44 yards.

I saw an ad in Bugle magazine last month for the Sig Kilo for $299 with a certain RMEF membership buy. Might be worth looking into. I love my Sig 2000.

I have the kilo850 and it is a great unit (I got it for $160). It is not reliable on rocks at 800 yds though. If you want/need the extra range then jump up to the 2000 for sure.
