I finally tagged a mule deer buck! Not a particularly impressive one, but that wasn't really my goal. One trip out off the mountain if possible, however, was, and I managed it. He felt like a moose by the day's end, I tell ya! ;-) Thanks to everyone here and there over the years who have helped with friendly advice and encouragement. A special thanks to Robby and Louis. I appreciate it.
Oh, and solo, self-packed packed out fresh tenderloin and backstrap served up with sauteed onions, sauteed mushrooms, and sauteed asparagus with crumbled bacon on top of it all is delicious, as it happens. All the more so because of the solo, self-packed out part, if I do say so myself.
