Although their clothing is made mainly in southeast asia, they are headquartered in Ketchum. When you call/email first lite it is an American that answers, not an outsourced call center which is nice. Great customer service too if you would ever need it.

I’d be more concerned with the Chernin Group acquisition of Meateater/First Lite than where it’s made at this point. Great stuff and great customer service but aside from money I don’t get why they went that route.

Not made in the US. Been happy with all my products from them though. Great discount for Mil too. I own quite a bit of Beyond clothing and there is no consistency to their sizing. I would definitely not recommend paying their prices for the product you receive.

Google meateater sells out/Chernin group. It happened in 2018/19.I love first lite gear and am using what I have currently but I can’t get behind stuff like that. it doesn’t get talked about much at all so not sure what ever happened with it. Again....it’s whatever is important to an Individuals Beliefs. Lots of people it doesn’t matter, some don’t want to believe it, some will support it and some won’t. It’s a good read and good information if you’ve never looked into it.

Made in the USA from imported Polartec fabric

Envoyé de mon Pixel 2 en utilisant Tapatalk
When we started Gulch LLC, Polartec only milled PFP fabrics outside the US. Now they mill quite a few PFP fabrics at their Tennessee plant. All our new Polartec fabrics are not only made in the USA, but Berry Compliant and we no longer have to buy their fabrics outside of the US. We still import our Toray fabric from Japan.

The only article I found is from the federalist and while it is concerning that Chernin bought Meateater, the same article sticks up for the NRA and blasts YETI for severing its ties. YETI actually addressed this and said it had to do with how the NRA handled its partnership program, not because they “support” gun rights. Long story short, I wouldn’t base decisions on one article I read on the internet.

There’s more on it than just the federalist. All I said was look into it and spend your money where you want. I love first lite but regardless...for me I’m not going to give money to the Chernin group. Again....I’d like to hear more on it. It was brought up then the information just stopped.

I love Firstlite’s stuff to, but now I know if I buy anymore i’ll be indirectly funding Joe Biden’s campaign, or whatever socialist replaces him. No thank you!
