It'll probably be a little warmer. It's a fleece vs the merino. I layer the halstead over my Chama

If you've got a place that sells Patagonia nearby the halstead is very close to the thin square pattern fleece that they make. I think halstead and Chama EXP are close in warmth but I do the same as above since my halstead is camo.

I have both. I find the halstead warmer but less wind resistant. It is a great layering piece under a shell or something. Not my favorite outerlayer.

the halstead is more of warmth/heat trapper and features a grid lock fleece. it makes a great second or mid layer
