Hey guys, looking for any advice here. I have owned a Furnace before but never a Sawtooth Hoody. I am looking for something to use as an outer layer until late October, and as a layering piece for late season here in Iowa. I like the idea of the body mapped insulation of the Sawtooth but I don't really know what to expect. Has anyone owned both the Furnace and Sawtooth and have any opinions on which would be better?

The Sawtooth is pretty bulky in the torso in my opinion. I dont know what type of temps you are looking at, but I havent found an excuse to use it very much.. Cool concept though..

I use the furnace top and bottoms for late season layering on hunts in the Midwest and love it. Had the sawtooth and wasn’t a fan. If kind of feels more like a jacket. I did find the sawtooth much better to hike in as it let your back breath much more than the furnace. I think the Klamath would be a good happy medium between the two. More durable than both the sawtooth and furnace when using as an outer layer.

Had sawtooth vest and that thing was like wearing a t shirt with padding in front. Total disappointment I thought in a vest.
