Does anyone have some on the ground info about the fires and smoke that may or may not effect the area around the Pagosa Springs. I am heading there in a week and started making B, and C, maybe even a D plan. Since I am limited to a unit i can not go too far.
Thanks

Maybe @justinspincher will chime in or otherwise look here if you have not already.

I am currently in Pagosa Springs, there's some haze to the air from the fires up north, but there's no fire in the area that I'm aware of. No smoky smell unless there's a good north wind. We came from Durango and went to Wolf Pass today, all looks good.

Good luck!

Great thanks - we will be in the Weminuche wilderness. Got any info on the rivers if they dry up? Specifically Milk and weminuche.

On the Animas side, the rivers are extremely low. CPW has asked anglers to not fish after noon since the water is so warm.
