I finished this back quiver yesterday for my good friend, Joe Hollingshad, of Devil's Backbone Outfitters. I had made Joe a possibles bag and a knife sheath a while back and the last time I saw him, he asked me to make a quiver to match the other two items. Hopefully, he will be happy with this.

Quiver details: The body and straps are made from bison hide. The black leather around the tracks is shark hide and the light colored leather is deer hide. The brown leather trim on the quiver and straps is caiman hide. The black trim is deer hide and I carved the strap buttons from deer antler. The whole shebang was sewn up by hand using artificial sinew.

Yes the work is great, I would be interested in obtaining a quiver from you if your interested to make one.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words!

wow that looks often, do you make stuff for people alot? or have a business?

I make commissioned pieces from time to time, depending on my mood and time constraints. I enjoy leatherwork, but I don't want it to turn into a job. My stuff is expensive because leather is expensive - especially exotic leather. Also, everything I make is sewn by hand and that takes A LOT of time. I don't do simple Howard Hill quivers and the like because I think they're ugly. My commissioned work consists of one-of-a-kind things made specifically for the recipient. If money and time are not an issue, we can talk about a piece. Otherwise, you would be better served elsewhere.
