Filming in the boat and in the woods

I wanted to start filming some of our salmon and crabbing trips on the boat and would like to also film some of our elk hunts. I am wondering if anyone had any suggestions on types of cameras that would be best for either or. I have never filmed any of our hunts and have no idea where to start. I am 100% novice when it comes to this stuff.

Without a doubt you need some thing that is weatherproof The best system to go into is the Olympus E-m5 mark 3 or their OM-5. Coupled with the 14-150 lens everything is weatherproof. To go into Sony, Nikon or Canon would be more then double the price for equal features
