I just purchased a Fierce twisted Rival.. waiting for shipment to my ffl .

They have what appears to have the muzzle break built into the barrel and then it says they come with a cap to eliminate the break. How does that work?

My AR platforms are simple unscrew the birdcage and change out. My Sako Finnlight that I am selling doesn’t have a threaded barrel nor does any of my bolt actions.

This isn’t a deal breaker or I would have checked into it further before purchasing it, it’s just my closest range doesn’t allow muzzle breaks so it made me curious as to how the Fierce system works

The muzzle brakes aren’t built in the barrel. It’s a threaded brake and you can simply unscrew it and thread on the provide cal to eliminate the brake.

both Break types are removable. Your POI will change with and w/o muzzle break FYI.

I have same rifle in 28nos. Good rifle.

I am supposed to pick the Fierce up tomorrow, I decided to list my Sako 85 Finnlight 300 win mag on gunbroker so hopefully it will sell quickly.
The local gunsmith said he had Talley bases and rings for it. So pick it up tomorrow from ffl take to gunsmith while he mounts and boresights my ZEISS.

why the switch from the Finnlight to the Rival?

I wanted a 7mm as my go to rig and that Finnlight is designed for stalking
I bought it for Elk hunts in Colorado and my health went sideways and never had a chance to take it out of the safe so no more need for a lightweight cannon. Now most of the hunting I do is on a 3000 acre cattle ranch that we lease so all shots are from elevated blinds but many times in the 400-500 yd range.
