I started reloading using one of those chubby RCBS 2 sided tools. About 6 years ago I purchased the orange handled lyman tool that allows you to thread different attachments on. I like this because I can use a prep station or drill if wanted. The chamfer tool works fine but the deburr tools just don’t seem to cut very well.

I do have 3 way cutters for my trimming that do a nice job chamfering/deburring. I just don’t like using them every reload since it takes more time and also scrapes a line of carbon out of the necks.

Does anyone have deburring tool suggestions that cut well? Or should I just trim more often?

The Sinclair is by far the smoothest cutting out of 4 or 5 I have tried.
They are out of stock at Brownells right now, but they usually get them pretty often.

Why do you need to chamfer/debur after the initial time if you’re not trimming?

I’m not sure. I have just always done it that way. I think It is easier to feel a ding or burr on a neck while chamfering/deburring than it is to see one. I just feel better knowing there isn’t anything going on with the necks of my brass. A quick touch up after resizing gives me that confidence I guess.
