A few years ago I set out to build the lightest weight gun I thought was possible. It shoots all the factory ammo I’ve tried sub moa and hand loads a bit better.
Started life as a Kimber Hunter chambered in 7mm-08, sent to Kampfeld for his seamless brake, fluted barrel and bolt. Added a skeletonized bolt handle and aluminum trigger guard. Bedded into an MPI stock. Lapped Talley rings and Leupold VX3 scope.
Weighs in at 5.5lbs scoped. Pretty hard to get lighter than that.
Round count is definitely less than 200.
I’m probably missing a few things but thinking $2200 tyd for the package.
PM with any questions or if you’d like more pictures.
Thanks,
Jake
