Another vote for Kodiak canvas. Just an fyi, in the 10x14, it will fit 4 low profile air mattresses in it. As a family though we put in 3 and leave the area closest to the door free so we can get in and out easily and have places for our bag.

Last year we got caught in a significan microburst. It literally flattened every single tent in the camp, except ours. We were sold, and so were all the people that came and asked us what it was and how it kept standing. Great tent all the way around.

Only drawback to this tent is the weight/stored size. But its upsides outweigh this negative for me.

I use a cabelas 4 person alaskan guide. It is older where aluminum poles were still available for them. Used it a handfull of times and pretty impressed with it. Bought some of the aluminum poles as backups.

I’ve had my Alaskan guide geodesic tent out in 60mph winds on the alaskan tundra down in southwest Alaska near togiak and Dillingham. It’s a heavy tent but I’d dare say almost bomb proof. I own a 6 and a 8 man tent and though I prefer to use my floorless shelters for now on, I’m considering putting a stove jack into each of my geo guide tents. They really are that good.
