Extra parts for a hunt.

My son and I are going Caribou hunting in Alaska at the end of summer. I was wanting to put together a small bag of gun parts we might need. We both have Tikka 300 WMs so the parts should be interchangeable. Some of the things I thought of were firing pin, firing pin spring and trigger springs. Is there anything else you can think of that might be good to take?

Spare mags, a small tube of loctite, a thought-through selection of tools you'd need in replacing the parts you're taking, a small roll of electrical tape (for muzzle), and cleaning rod that can break down/comes in sections.

The tape and cleaning rod are about preventing and resolving obstructions or stuck cases, and any screws you take off in the field should be re-loctited. Detachable mags can be easy to lose, so at least 1 spare one between the two of you, and some people will also put a length of tape over the mag and stock as a failsafe to not losing it.

Only thing I would bring is a driver and bit to fix anything that might be found loose....loctite, tape, and a small field cleaning kit. Also, cheap 3 piece rod for obstructions. extra mad also...but I always have and extra loaded mag and I also tape my detachable mags to the gun and never take them out.

Otherwise if you are bringing firing pins and trigger parts...might as well bring all the extractor and ejector parts.

Why? If you have two identical rifles aren’t all the parts interchangeable. Pull your bolt and use it in the other gun. If you are hunting together and an entire system goes sideways. You have a full spare parts kit sitting there. Worst case bring the bits and a driver.
