I took a good friend out yesterday evening to try for a roebuck in North Norfolk, England. The rut is on at the moment for this species so the chances of seeing deer moving or being able to call them was good despite the continuous and at times heavy rain. We have six species of deer in the UK and roe are one of the two native ones. Tomorrow sees the start of the fallow buck season so I will be heading to the woods later to be ready for opening morning.
