Let's say you're a dumba** like me, maybe misplaced a set of bull elk ivories, and would like to plug in fakes to make a euro mount not look as dumb as I might be.

Has anyone out there made a mold from real ivories, left and right, then cast dummies out of a fluid? Does anyone have molds they'd be willing to make and sell? Any recommendations on a good material to use for the fakes?

In my case, we're talking about a decent 3.5 year old 5x5, ~475-500 lbs on the hoof, some nice marbling on those natural ivories that I remember.

I've never really noticed the presence or absence of ivories in a bull elk Euro mount.

I pulled mine to make jewelry for the kids. Now to find a jewler I can afford!

Was going to say the same thing. I have never left them in any Euro I have done.
