Hi guys, I’m new to this site and this is my first thread here...I am looking for some help from everyone here and information on looking for a outfitter for guided elk rifle hunt in 2019 or 2020. We are going to start putting in for points in Colorado and Wy this year so would have one point in each for 19 or 2 pt if went in 2020. Really considered J Bar H outfitter in Colorado, which seems like a good place but bulls on small side. Loco mountain outfitters in Colorado also, they seem to kill bigger bulls but can’t find much info to know how there success really is and seems like a lot of old pics on his site...wyoming seems to hold bigger bulls with outfitters even in general tag areas...Montana is also an option..we are wanting to keep the hunt at 5k or less(not including license and travel)..we are open to wilderness or atv truck hunt..it will be our first elk hunt and just want it to be a trip we will never forget. We know nothing is guaranteed but looking for an outfitter with high success. Also we realize in our situation we are not going to units hunting 320” bulls or better, but would love to find an outfitter that can get us on 270” plus bulls, which seems not out of reach when paying for an outfitter..searching thousands out outfitters gets overwhelming so figured this would be best way to get true feedback from guys that have already done it...
