Elk Coolers

I have 2 Coleman Marine 120 quart coolers. I've seen a lot of people say this should be good for a bone in elk, but would it fit a cape too? Or should I get a little cooler for the cape?

I’ve got a 160 quart and I can’t get a complete bone in elk in it. No chance for a cape.

I've got two grizzly 400 quart coolers, only ever needed one but they sure hold the ice and meat.

Bone it out. Or do you plan on using the bones for stock or something? I BARELY got a boned out bull in a 120 and a 40 with ice. I think you could fit a cape and a boned out bull in 2 120s but not with the bones.

I have 150 and missed a deal on a 400, and greatly regret it.

To the OP, I can get 4qts and scrap/back/tenders in a Grizzly 150 if you cut shanks short, but not the cape also. Really you don’t want the cape in their any way, won’t cool well enough
