Horizon guide or guide pro pants/shorts are my favorite things I own from EB. Their performance fleece button down shirt is pretty great as well.

50% off Memorial Day sale right now. I’m a big fan of the guide pro pants. Just ordered guide pro work pants and guide pro shorts so can’t comment on those yet!

check the clearance section for puffy's too. I really like their mountain pants for construction, but they added spandex this year and some reviews say they're really hot now so that might be a bust.

I ordered the guide work pants. They are nice, but not for hunting. The reinforced areas are actually backwards from what you would expect for hunting, so the lower leg etc is where they have the least protection. Basically reinforced for knees and thighs. If you look at the on the website, the reinforcement is the lighter color areas for reference.

The guide pro regular pants though are great. Not as good as the First lite guide or guide lite, but not a bad second choice.

I was actually just looking at the guide pro work pants thinking those might be kinda nice, like a sitka timberline lite version were you have the tough material on the seat and knees which I think is very useful for hunting. How thick are the guide pants in comparison to say the sitka mountain pants?

Exactly. The EB guide pro don't breath as well and are a little bit heavier than the FL. The back pockets on the EB guide pro are also a little funky because they don't actually close all the way. They just have a velcro patch in the center. They're more hipster than hunter.

Oh no. I have a pair of the gp work pants being delivered based on various favorable comments. I need to really examine them!

I got a hooded Cirruslite puffy for around 50$ on sale in their camo pattern. I have liked it so far.

No question the guide pants have gotten them for 50-60% off along with a puffy vest and jacket.
Also ordered a baselayer performance shirt and was surprised how good it wicks the sweat and it also has the same “Polygiene” odor control that Sitka has.
