I have the older version and have worn it a lot. I really like it, its warm and light weight. I can't speak to te the during coating as i will thow a rain shell over it on rainy days. Mine (the older version) leaks a little down, but from what I understand they addressed it with the new 2.0. I would consider buying another one when its finally time to replace mine.

Thanks.

There is a less expensive 650 down jacket on clearance too. It's only $35. I wonder if it could be any good for that price.

I tried on of those on a while back in the store. They seemed warm, but a little bulkier and heavier. Although the microtherm does not have a lining on the inside of it, which the others do.
Unfortunately I can't compare the two in the real world outdoor environment.

I will say that Eddie bauer has a generous return policy, up to a year if i remember correctly, so get both, compare, and return whichever one you don't want.

I’ve had a few EB down jackets over the years. Still use a microtherm vest as my go-to “throw it in the pack” extra layer when skiing or snowmobiling - packs great warmth for the size. I would use it hunting if it wasn’t bright blue.

I would jump all over this jacket if it was in a different color - not a huge fan of the Pimento red color.

There’s some darker colors for $124, too.

Note that the prices shown on the website already have the coupon codes applied, in case anyone is confused.

Has anyone used the evertherm down hooded jacket? Says 30g of fill. Just curious how warm it would be?

I have the Cirrus Lite I believe that one is $35 right now. Have it w hood and without. I think its great for cold mornings during late Sept Archery hunts but too light for late Oct early Nov rifle season in WY/CO.

Okay, thanks. For $42 shipped, I may just get one anyway. Do you prefer the hood, or no?

Guys who own the micotherm, hows the sizing? im 6' 190 average build. was thinking about the TALL version. I hate the backside riding up on a jacket that is too short.

It's soo cheap! I really want to try out the thindown because I think the stretch hoodie would work really well under a shell without being too bulky, but it hasn't dropped in price much yet.

No idea on the microtherm, but as a 5’11” 190# guy with a decently positive ape index, I know that EB’s flannels are shorter in the arms for me and I’ve had to go with Tall. I think their return policy is good, I would pull the trigger on both so you know

I checked my vest I have from them that is a medium tall. That’s what I would go with, if I was you.

Hope that helps!
