44.1gr Varget with 168 SMK loaded to 2.810" works well for two of my 308 bolt guns. Lapua brass and Wolf LRP.

45.0 Varget and 168gr TMK to 2.80 coal for me in my tikka and M70.

If anyone has a good PP2000MR load to get 178+ going pretty fast, I’d love to hear about it and get some specs.

The "safety police" are literally just telling you to go do what reloaders do! Grab a book and learn the data, load how you want after you learn the data, go shoot and learn that data, go back to the bench and load more. You can literally start at .5g under max in ever book out there and be safe. We just get tired of people asking for the "easy button" when there really isn't one.

Just another data point.

46.0 grain of Staball Match 178gr ELDX. Federal case. CCI 400. COAL 2.80. 2630fps out of a 20” Tikka. No pressure signs at all. 1.4” 10 shot group at 100.

48.0 Power Pro 2000MR. 178gr ELDX. Federal case. CCI400. COAL 2.80. 2645fps out of 20” tikka. 1.25” 10 shot group at 100.

I’m definitely not the best shot, but these have potential.
