So a little background. I purchased a like new long, wide version of the Prodigy from a member here. He bought it new and never used it. Let me say the member here is a stand up guy that has been great to deal with and has went above and beyond after the sale.

I took it out and used one night. It was evident that it is too narrow for me to comfortably use. I have a "wanted to trade" add on here in the classifieds. Another member chimed in that based on the measurement it turns out it is a standard width, not a wide model. Ah ha, that would make sense.

So E&E was contacted and no, according to them it is a wide model, arg. That is hard to believe as I am not a huge man. far from it actually and their wide model is to narrow for me? Kind of crazy.

I only mention this so if you are thinking of ordering a Prodigy you may want to be diligent in determining if it will work for you. To me a wide version is hardly a wide quilt. At 54" wide open and 27" folded is hardly wide?

I like the quilt and have no issues other than the width is funky imho. "

That's odd, since even their website says their regular is 54" wide. The wide version is 58". Not sure why they'd say that 54" is their wide, when it's clearly on their website.

I am going to agree. The original purchaser talked to them and I think the info he was given was a bit iffy. I am not convinced E&E has their act together on this. Laid out flat it is 54" and no I don't have two people pulling it tight to get that measurement, doh!

Does anyone have a wide Prodigy they can measure?

Did you call Tim at EE yourself? It shouldn't be hard to determine the size it is, especially with them listed on their website. Just make sure you talk to them yourself if you haven't.

The sizes we list are pulled tight. If you get 54" loose more likely than not it'll be 58" tight. Also there is s size tag in the footbox.

I just ordered a regular width Revelation and an Accomplice for the girlfriend and I, so I'm kind of curious about this. So what's the story 280, what's the tag in the footbox say?

I cannot find a tag anywhere on it. Tim is going to investigate it once I get him some additional info in the next day or two. We will see how it plays out.

I had something similar happen with a Kifaru Medium Oval Stove. Ordered a Sawtooth with the med stove, received it, used it for about a year and decided to switch to a TiGoat Large WiFi with the Sawtooth. I sold the Kifaru stove in the classifieds here. When the buyer received the stove he measured it and as it turns out it was a small Oval Stove. The buyer said the small would work for him at the price he paid and that was settled. I contacted Kifaru and explained the problem. They refunded the difference between the medium and the small in store credits. As I purchase a lot of my gear from Kifaru I was happy with the solution. I will also say that Kifaru's customer service has been great, any time I have had an issue they have resolved it.

I have only purchased two products from Enlightened Equipment and neither had any issues. They put out high quality products that I am very happy with.

We were able to look up the original quilt. Everything was as ordered. It was measured at 82x56 which can only be s long wide. If we had it in hand we could likely confirm fabric size of 84x58, but our customers often come up with measurement 2-3" different than we do when we get them back.
