I wish they would offer the camo dyneema as an option. The slight weight penalty for a non-obtrusive, non see thru shelter would be awesome.

Hi Sneaky

Thanks for the feedback. We are offering Spruce Green which is not really see through either. We don't let color influence us as much as the best tent fabric for hardcore use and lifespan.

We used the see through gray for Cimarron photos as there was no Spruce stock at the time.

Thanks
Kevin

Hi Kevin - the Spruce is the strongest of the fabrics, correct? I know the camo version is in the middle of the options. Are their more photos coming out with the stove being used as well?

The Spruce in the Redcliff photos was used with a Big Mama on that trip. It was used with an SXL and some other stoves in more "destruction" testing.

Thanks
Kevin

I have seen the spruce at Seek Outside, and it looks really sharp. I think it looks better than the olive and the brown standard fabric.

Didn't see any modifications on the pre-order for the Cimarron? Wanted to make sure it had the stove jack, large stove w/ pipe, carbon pole, and in spruce.

They are under the category page right now but not built into the product as options .

Color is Spruce ... you can add a note if it makes you feel better

Kevin - Will Seek be making an insert out of Dyneema to be paired with it?

Our standard accessories and nests work well ... but we may make some more tailored specifically to it . However , note the weight savings will be far less on inserts . DCF floor material is not that much lighter than our 30d sage which is still a good material for floors . In other worlds , maybe but the cost / weight will not be near as compelling . On a full size Cimarron insert my guess is weight savings is about 4 ounces vs our sage that is on the eolus . Meanwhile price would possibly be 250 as a premium

21 without stove jack , jack ads about 3 ounces

Poles I wouldn't skimp personally . Our carbon pole is strong and light . If weight is a issue I'd use our trekking pole hitch which is designed to keep the poles in a strong orientation

Why the Cimarron LIGHT is the same price as the 2 doors...same price less hardwares ???

Cuben fiber looks great

Added cordage and hardware

Silvertip - maybe not sure . The problem with the silvertip is I am not sure a one zip option makes sense unless it is strictly as a hot tent ...also the weight difference between that and the Cimarron is probably only a couple ounces

Wait... the Cimarron and Redcliff light both lose full length zippers, yet have more hardware now? Im not tracking that logic. Seems like it saves on weight, labor time, less sewing time... same price. If it's a premium to pay for saving weight then say that, but to say it adds more hardware you'll have to quantify that stance.

I'm just guessing here but the additional hardware would be the 10 line locks and cordage so the price difference between those and the zipper are probably a wash. When you figure in the added fiddle factor of installing those and subtract out the zipper seam, again probably a wash.
