DTAC 300 win mag

I was going down the 6UM rabbit hole last night and ended up on the David Tubb site looking at dtac bullets. I noticed they offer loaded 220gr smk with the nosering application. Does anyone in here have experience with this bullet in a 300 win mag? What was the terminal performance like? I’m just getting into the reloading side of things. Still collecting components. I have yet to use my press.

A 220 grain match bullet with a bc that’s lower than lots of 200 grain bullets isn’t that appealing to me on paper. Sounds like a good way to get 30-06 ballistics with 300 PRC recoil.

That’s my main worry. Wasn’t sure if the nose ring did something gnarly in tissue.
