The Timberline 1 is 2200 ci bigger.. Is the main bag wider/deeper or just taller? Where does the room come from? Do the sizes listed for both bags include the built in pockets?

I love the features of the warrior, just scared it won't be big enough considering I thought my exo 5500 was tight on a 6 day trip and it's listed at 4800 ci

My MW fit all my stuff for an 8 day trip with extra room. Only thing strapped to the outside was my Crocs and a tripod.

The DT1's listed size is including the 2 front pockets and 2 side pockets. The MW's listed size is NOT including the 950 ci front pocket.

Not sure if the DT1's specs are the same considering that the new DT1 lost the snow collar (~1000 ci loss there), but gained size in the side/front pockets.

When in doubt, go full AMR :)

I vote for AMR. Packs down to nothing and has the perfect amount of space for when you kill AND you want to pack camp. I did this twice in September and I found the AMR to be the perfect bag for me. I have always felt like I could use more space and not less once an animal is down. I do a lot of backpacking in general and for that, your bag really doesn't matter as much. But for hunting off your back (I am guessing since it happened to me), eventually you will find a larger bag being more desirable.

I own a DT1 and T1 and I prefer the AMR. The larger front pockets are a huge improvement along with a larger top opening. I don't miss the side pockets since anything that I used to put in them can just be strapped on if they don't fit in the bag.

And in daypack mode it's the exact size of the Mountain Warrior.

To expand on what SLIM said...

If you want to have a panel loader that makes loading and unloading a bag or accessing things inside the bag rather than unloading it and diving in the top than get the MW. I have one and like it a lot. Accessing things through the front panel into the main bag as well as the giant front pouch is super handy. And the size to me doesn't seem too much smaller than my T1 or DT1 I have owned.

But from a true space to weight stand point the AMR is the king of the hill from the Kifaru line up. The larger top opening over the DT1 or T1 is very nice feature and makes getting large bone in quarters or hides MUCH better. And I would own a AMR if the EMR 2 didn't exist .:)
