DST tarp with stove jack?

Has anyone put a stove jack in something like a Seek Outside DST tarp? Was it worth it?

I've thought about adding a stove jack to a tarp. The main advantage would be to keep the stove under some protection from rain - weather.

Depending on the size of the tarp you could make an enclosed shelter with a stove in it, but still have a tarp's versatility.

As for being able to do it...of course it will work. Just decide where you want it and sew it in! Then give it a go.

Pomoly has a commercial version of a modified 10x10 with one in it. Seems like decent placement - especially for a diamond set up.

Whether or not it is worth it is up to you....I decided to just get a "tipi" hot tent with stove jack already in it, and a small wood stove. Might weigh a little more, but the shelter is solid, tested, and designed for the application.

A small fire in front of - or under - a tarp will do basically the same thing.

Just some thoughts...worth what you paid...lol
