Drew NM 15 muzzy tag

Finally my first NM tag!! I can't wait to hunt it!!! Any help or tips appreciated. Maps are ordered and now to mount a scope on my tc!

Anyone been in the unit lately? Have heard horn growth is doing good.

Hunted there twice, well over 10 years ago, but have a friend who has been there a few times and has a high percentage of success. It's a great area I would suggest starting east of quemado lake.

Also what muzzleloader tag did you draw? If you got the first Oct. 11-15 your odds are higher, the past few years here in NM the late has started late and the muzzleloader season has had a higher success rate.

I drew the first hunt. I plan to arrive 4 days early to scout and get setup. First time being able to use a scope on my tc. Can't wait.
