Downsizing from Redcliff to Cimarron

Thinking about downsizing from my Redcliff to a Cimarron. Took it out on an overnight fishing trip and I'm thinking it'll be too much tent for me. Still want the ability to sleep 2 with a stove but also something that's not too crazy for just me to pack. Anyone been in this boat before?

Also, what are people's preferences between the green and brown? My Redcliff is brown but I'm starting to think I might like the green...Kinda prefer something that blends in so passersby don't easily notice my sweet set up. My understanding is that they both allow the same amount of light transmission so neither should be warmer/cooler in the summer but the green still seems like it would be cooler.

I just went through this same thing and ended up with a Cimarron and a tarp for the front of the tent. This allowed the space lost from the inside fo the Redcliff to be turned into gear storage on the outside right outside the front door. It’s certainly smaller but that just means the footprint is smaller as well and can be set up in more places. For one person it’s a mansion, for 2 with a stove its still somewhat comfortable with the gear outside. I wish I had a side by side for you but I’m pretty sure the guys at GoHunt have a good comparison video somewhere on their website/YouTube. Hope that helps, best of luck with your search!

I’ve used a SO BCS for many years. At one point they made a BCS 2 which moved the stove jack and added a second door. Seemed perfect, but now that I’m looking around it is no longer available. Interested how the Redcliff works for two with a stove.

I think I've exhausted all SO youtube content lol, so definitely seen the comparisons. Kind of just undecided on color. And whether I want to post a WTT or just sell and wait for a new Cimarron from SO.

I just got my Cimarron light hot tent combo (green) with medium U-turn stove. The tent is perfect size for 2-3 people, without stove, but 4 would be a little cramped. The second door would be nice to help with airflow during the day to keep the tent cool but I don't plan on spending a whole lot of time in the tent during daylight. Overall I'm very happy with it.
