Dovetail mount compared to hard mount

Just a hunter with a simple setup. Any benefit to purchasing a dovetail mount rather than a hard mount. Looking at HHA, black gold, or spot Hogg slider sights. I want something that is going to be simple and just work. Thanks!

You can move your housing further or closer if you have a specific peep size you're set on to get the housing to match the peep. Also removing the sight for whatever reason is as quick as twisting a knob.

Honestly, you won't be at a disadvantage with either.

I prefer dovetails for the extra movement to fine tune my setup and I also like to take my sight off and put it in a separate hard case when traveling for extra protection.
