I have the new VX-6HD GEN2 a like it a lot. I’ve been comparing it side by side with the new Swarovski Z5i+. I’ve put over 500+ rounds through each and the tracking has been great on both. I’ve spent the last 4 nights comparing them side by side to see which one holds up best in low light. That’s the thing that bothers me…so many have no issue but then several handful of people do. Which one will I be? I really like what the vx6 has to offer.

I’ve planted clover in my shooting range and the deer have been very cooperative staying until dark. Legal shooting time in my state goes to 1/2 hour after sunset.

To my eye, the Leupold image is a little more vibrant. I can keep both scopes on 10x at least 15 minutes after sunset then I need to start lowering the power to keep the brightness. Both scopes could be used at the end of legal shooting time at their lowest magnification. During the last 5-10 minutes the Swarovski image is clearer.
I’m putting the scopes on rifles and shooting more and if anything blows up or falls off, I’ll let you know. So far I’m liking both scopes a lot. If you have any questions, just ask.
